Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are substances that are usually injected into the face to fill lines and wrinkles and add volume to certain areas such as lips and cheeks. Facial Fillers help with either rejuvenation of certain areas of the face and/or enhancement of other areas.

In the UK most dermal fillers are dissolvable and contain a natural substance called hyaluronic acid. As such the effects of these dissolvable dermal fillers usually last 6-18 months. Permanent fillers are NOT recommended as they have a high incidence of complications. Mr Sharma only uses dissolvable fillers or occasionally autologous fat (patient’s own fat cells).
